Administrative - District Office - Communications & Marketing
ROLE AND PURPOSE:
To embrace all aspects of marketing including direct response, advertising, direct mail marketing, digital marketing, publications, analytics, surveys, communications and more.
Maintain a passion to develop, implement, track and optimize marketing campaigns across multiple traditional and digital channels on behalf of AISD, its employees and students.
Will also have a passion for storytelling, have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and in partnership with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, be able to lead and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
Will work closely with the entire Marketing and Communications team, vendors, various internal departs/teams, external partners and others to launch campaigns on time and on budget.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related field
Experience in email marketing, SEO, Google Ads, social media, website analytics tools and media buying
Strong understanding and passion for current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices
Working knowledge of ad-serving tools
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Excellent project management and people skills
Writing, blogging, proofreading, video and photography ability
Strong organizational skills and communications skills a must
Ability to work well under pressure and meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently and be flexible
Attention to details and accuracy
Proactive and resourceful with a ‘can-do’ attitude
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
In partnership with Executive Director of Marketing & Communications, develop and coordinate monthly/quarterly/yearly direct response marketing campaigns to include
Trackable content through the creation and implementation of targeted forms, landing pages, etc.
Regular reports on campaign performance to Executive Director of Marking & Communications
Target content into specific demographic
Specified appeals with clear “Call to Action”
Purposeful and meaningful follow-up on non-conversions
Research, plan, and execute effective SEO and SEM, email database management and display/digital advertising for campaigns such as Special Programs, Hourly Job Fair, Teacher Job Fair, Transfer Windows and others as well as make recommendations to Executive Director on the best use of district resources
Assist Executive Director of Marketing & Communications in negotiating media buys in print, broadcast, digital and outdoor.
Develop and execute an e-marketing strategy to create user-engaged content with measurable positive results.
Work with staff to plan and execute detailed email campaign timelines and targeting, oversee messaging, copywriting, formatting, and Plan and execute distribution, utilizing various software and list management systems.
Track email metrics
ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Work in coordination with Web Services and the Marketing & Communications teams to optimize the website and social media channels for maximum SEO.
Support the creation of a “best-in-class” web presence that drives district impact through the use of daily web contact.
Provide project management support for the design and production of posters, postcards, newspaper advertisements, and other collateral pieces.
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
Oversee assigned budget for marketing in the paid, earned, shared and owned space, including buys for various campaigns.
Identify trends and insights and provide thought leadership to the Executive Director to Marketing & Communications.
Video content creation, supervision of interns, work beyond regular schedule and weekend work, required
Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Marketing & Communications
