Classified - Classified Positions - Instructional Support - Special Education Instructional Assistant
The PASS Aide will assist the PASS Coach with meeting the instructional and behavioral needs of students with disabilities.

High school diploma, GED, or an Associate’s degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Ability to work well with children with disabilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of general office equipment
One year experience working with children
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist teacher in collecting instructional and behavioral data.
Assist teacher in preparation of instructional materials and classroom displays
Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom
Assist teacher in preparing/maintaining records/reports required by Federal, State or local laws/regulations
Assist teacher in intervening in crisis situations and restraining disruptive or dangerous student behavior as needed.
Assist teacher in working with individual students or small groups.
Assist in supervision of students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
Inform teacher of special needs or problems of individual students
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy.
Maintain good attendance and recordkeeping duties for payroll.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling; regular heavy lifting of students. Biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
