Bachelors Degree preferred – with two years experience in a supervisory maintenance, operations and transportation capacity or 4 years experience as supervisor in maintenance, operations, and transportation.
Possess or immediately be able to obtain a Class B CDL license with P&S endorsements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and supervise the maintenance, operations, grounds, custodial and transportation functions of the district and do related work as required.
Develop and implement a systematic program of proactive and preventative maintenance.
Prioritize work orders and estimate cost of projects.
Interviewing, assigning and assessing departmental personnel.
Developing and overseeing a departmental budget that complies with board policy and business operating procedures.
Approve requisitions, recommend projects and work with vendors to secure the highest quality, lowest cost supplies and materials.
Maintain updated fire, safety and health inspections.
Develop and consistently monitor work schedules to optimize all aspects of service, cleanliness of facilities and pristine appearance of district grounds.
Plan and deliver professional development
Develop and present monthly board reports related to departmental activities.
Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and facilitate modernization and improvements related to facilities.
Understand and ensure compliance with building codes and safety requirements.
Plan and organize departmental procedures.
Ensure a high level of service and support to campuses that results in work orders filled expeditiously.
Respond and remain on 24 hour call out for emergency calls.
Maintenance, Operations and Transportation employees.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Occasional district wide travel, occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
