Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned route. Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated locations.
A positive attitude and a love for children is a must for this job. Must have a good driving record with less than six points.
Preferred with Class B CDL and P&S endorsements. We will train if needed.
If you do not have a CDL we will hire you on a probationary period of 90 days and train you to get your CDL. Pay rate during this period is $10.00 but will immediately increase to $16.48 upon receiving your CDL & endorsements.
District pays for pre-employment drug test and DOT physical. Cost of fingerprints is deducted from you first three pay checks.
Starting pay with CDL and P&S endorsements with no experience is $16.48. Increase with every year of school bus driving experience.
K through 5th grade buses have assigned Paraprofessionals on the bus to aid with student discipline and drop off locations.
Attendance incentive $250 in December if you have perfect attendance for the Fall semester. $250 in June if you have perfect attendance for the Spring semester. Additional $1000 in June if you have perfect attendance for entire school year.
Year round school schedule: Drivers are off the month of June and first two weeks of July then every six weeks they are off for a week. Limited work is available during these times for those who want to work.
FOR 2017-2018 School Year:
Retention Incentive: $500 in November and $500 in May. Incentive will be prorated based on start date.
